Tin Picnic Plate – Botanical Dessert
This beautiful enameled tin plate replicates a beautiful ceramic piece from the collection of The Fitzwilliam Museum: a dessert plate of soft-paste porcelain with painted overglaze in enamels, made by the Chelsea Porcelain Manufactory c. 1755-8. The floral design depicts the Ketmia Indica or Indian hemp flower, with a butterfly hovering above.
This design originally produced for the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.
